NOT THE SAME 2
Moses stood in the court of pharaoh and demanded him "by the word of the LORD" to let the people of GOD go." The LORD before hand in exd 7:9 told moses that pharaoh would ask for a "miracle" Now we can look into what pharaoh said and what pharaoh meant. The word "miracle" by one definition means: an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs. If it was under this context, which pharaoh made his request, then when Aaron threw the rod down, and it became a serpent. It would seem that it in itself would be enough. But this was not the case. The bible says that pharaoh called the wise men and the sorcerrs, and they in like manner with their enchaments did the same. Each man his rod turned into a snake :but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods. This tell's me two things' when pharaoh asked for a miracle what he really ment was to see a sensation, a spectacular, or can we just say "SHOW" because if he really wanted to see a divine act of the GOD, that moses was speaking of, he wouldn't have called for his magicians to come in and copy what the man of GOD was doing. Just a thought but has any one of us ever prefered the magic of a show, over the magisty of a miracle, anyway the second thing I see here is that there is such a thing as coping anothers acts, but we see when the test came to what will stand, the magic could not stand up to the miracle.

Interesting post. The "real thing" will always come out on top. The devil is all show and lies - like a fake diamond - it doesn't "cut it" when put to the test.
It makes me think of an object lesson back in Sunday School. Bank tellers get trained by handling bills for hours. Then a counterfeit is slipped in - as soon as the teller touches it - got you!
I feel like that about divine manifestations of the power of God, and miracles.
SIS. CATHERINE- THANKS FOR THE COMMENT,I was wanting to add to "not the same" but not until yesterday did the lord prompt this thought.
Great post off one of my favorite stories out of the OT. Keep up the blogging, bro.
This story is very interesting.
The conversation with my helper last night (which lead to a Bible study!) reminded me of this post.
Be well Bro Joe, God is doing mighty things!!!
Thank's SIS.Catherine in JESUS name i'm getting better.
